Tara, a noble child in the Cañari Empire, is taken to the Acllahuasi in Cusco by the Inkas who conquer her native land. She is forced to denounce her civilization and lie about her identity, but when she learns that the Inkas want to erase the Cañari Cilivilization from existence she decides to fight. She demands that the Cañari Civilization receive respect and a rightful place in history by her enemies are stronger than her demands. She nearly succumbs when the Cañari and Inkan gods join her cause. But even then, will the stubborn Inkas listen?
Vilcabamba (2025) is a historical novel about Titu Cusi Yupanqui. He is the diplomatic genius that kept the last city of the Inkas, Vilcabamba, from being crushed by the mightier Spanish. He did so while trying to find inner peace between his Catholic upbringing, being a homosexual, and embracing his Inkan heritage.

My fascination with Andean cultures stem from a trip to the Amazon region of Peru. While there, I took a trip to Machu Picchu but what struck me was the bus ride from Cusco from Lima where I saw a glimpse of the amazing culture that is mostly forgotten by history and modernity. I want to be a part of showing the world this jewel.
